Arterial leg ulcers are a serious complication of peripheral arterial disease and can lead to delayed healing, infection, and, in severe cases, limb loss. Early recognition and timely intervention play a critical role in improving patient outcomes.

This webinar will provide clinicians with a practical approach to identifying arterial ulceration, conducting focused vascular assessments, and implementing appropriate wound management strategies. Participants will also gain insight into when urgent vascular referral is required and how a multidisciplinary approach can support effective treatment and optimal patient outcomes.

Principles And Practices For Difficult Venous Access

This micro-credential course from University of Wollongong will provide you with the knowledge to assess people with DIVA and the skill to insert PIVCs for infusion therapy, blood sampling and or peripheral blood culture collection using assistive technology such as ultrasound. 

The course is delivered in two parts: Five self-paced online modules (Part 1) and a full-day in person practical workshop (Part 2) on 11 November. The cost of this course has been subsidised by Medilogic and AVATAR.
