Mepilex Border Flex dressings are an all-in-one foam dressing for medium to high exuding chronic and acute wounds. Mepilex Border Flex minimises pain and wound or skin damage at dressing change. These dressings offer a bacteria and viral barrier to the wound and are anti-blistering dressings. Mepilex Border Flex has excellent retention properties and effectively manages exudate with less risk of maceration.

It was essential in providing cover and allowing healing for a (rare) Chronic Shingles Wound in the sacral area. The main issue was its limited ability to stick for long enough, and the cost of renewing it as often as necessary. We have now progressed to Mepilex Border Flex Lite which, cut in half, it is working well and has reduced the cost.

These were the centre of finding healing for a chronic wound, making the extra cost worthwhile. Pleased to find a good supply, they were not always easy to find.

WE have always tried to use this product in a range of sizes. We have found that it provides excellent wound coverage , is easy to apply and easy to remove. Although it is more expensive than some other brands we would certainly recommend the product DR and CM Butler
